Most timeshare owners never see it coming. They think they’ve just closed a deal to sell their property. In reality, they’ve just been scammed–often for thousands of dollars, sometimes more!
Timeshare Scams are among the most prevalent scams in the U.S. They can also be some of the hardest to spot.
That’s why the people at Timeshare Specialists and Resort Closings set up the nation’s first and only timeshare scam hotline.
It’s a totally free service designed to protect you from some of the most devastating scams in the country.
Since its founding in 2017, the hotline has saved consumers more than a million dollars. And its founders have won, not one, but two of the most prestigious business awards for social responsibility.

The Timeshare Scam Hotline was founded by the owners of Timeshare Specialists and Resort Closings, two Bozeman, Montana based companies working with Timeshare Owners on the resell market since 2002. In April of 2017, a contact at one of the local banks reached out to us because one of their customers had repeatedly wired money to Mexico for their Timeshare and the banker thought it was suspicious. They put us in contact with the customer and we determined that the person was indeed a victim of fraud. Unfortunately, fraud plagues the market and hurts everyone trying to sell or buy a timeshare on the resell market, so we decided it was time to help stop it. With many years of experience and a vast network of industry contacts it’s easy for our staff to quickly verify whether or not an offer is legitimate, so we decided to put that information to good use and set up this hotline. In addition to answering questions, we post all the reported scams in the Timeshare Scam Database to shed light on the strategies conmen are using and help prevent future losses.
It’s always free to call the hotline and our team will help you evaluate any offer you’ve received. However, If we’ve helped you save some money and you are able, we welcome any amount you would be will to contribute to our operations.
